One honest exception: established bermuda grass and nutsedge are excluded — hand-pulling those actually spreads them. If your yard has them, I'll point it out at the first-visit quote and we'll work around it.
I'm one person doing this Saturday mornings, so the route only works when neighbors are close together. I'm collecting signups first, then picking the streets with the most interest. Space is limited and not everyone will make the first round — but the more neighbors on your street sign up, the better your odds.
